Landuse changes simulation for erosion control in the Asahan Hulu Sub Watershed

Landuse changes that don't follow the principles of land conservation are susceptible to erosion, sedimentation, and flooding. This study aims determine most optimal use scenario in order reduce rate erosion analyse effect change on erosion. research was conducted by collecting rainfall data, soil type maps, slope maps then overlaid using arc GIS calculating value. The simulation is done reducing production cover index increasing forest landcover index. results showed annual value existing condition 111.67 tonnes / ha year which moderate hazard class. amount area I about 2881.80 ha, II 5266.95 III 7652.12 ha. reduced each landuse 103.489 tonnes/ year, 1, 93.642 at II, 87.358 yr III.
